We're excited to announce that we’ve revamped our service offerings to better address the evolving needs of our economic development clients!

Our team took a deep dive into understanding the challenges and opportunities facing communities today, and we've refined our services to provide more targeted solutions for maximum impact.  Especially in times of economic uncertainty, it's vital to have a solid strategy guiding your efforts to prevent making random decisions that don’t lead toward larger economic development objectives. Our updated services will equip you with the tools and insights to navigate challenges and capitalize on growth opportunities.

What's New?

Greater Emphasis on Distinctive Enhancements: These offerings raise the bar by offering services beyond the baseline strategy or study. Training and single-industry business development strategies have been popular in our orbit lately. What better time to ensure your team, elected officials, and appointed stakeholders have baseline knowledge and awareness of their economic development duties, authorities, and impact? Has your community considered doubling down on pulling out one sector from the target list? Many communities are taking such an approach seriously. This approach doesn’t mean you abandon your other targets; it simply means you take one target at a time to build a robust ecosystem of information, support, talent, etc. See these recent aerospace examples to get a sense of what we mean. Enhanced Business Attraction and Retention Services: Growing on the single-industry business development example from above, we’re helping communities build wraparound attraction and retention services that support all stages of the business life cycle. Moving beyond crafting attraction and retention strategies, our Skills Gap and Program Gap Awareness offerings are helpful for the business base today and in the future. Our updated offerings provide more comprehensive support for attracting new businesses and helping existing ones thrive by allowing economic developers to proactively identify talent and programming needs and help align higher education and corporate stakeholders to build critical lines of communication and action.

Greater emphasis on data-driven decision-making: Okay, this one hasn’t changed, but it’s still worth mentioning! While we've always incorporated data analytics and visualization tools to provide deeper insights and inform strategic planning to our partners, we also love talking to people. Hickey Global depends heavily on stakeholder engagement for all types of projects – Industry Analysis, Skills Gap Analysis, Strategies, [all linked], etc. – because how people think and feel about economic development will have much to do with a community’s ability to facilitate economic development progress. We take the quantitative, add the qualitative, and find a pathway toward implementation that aligns with these critical community factors.

Streamlined Service Packages: Are you working in pieces and parts or with limited resources? Don’t let that stop you from making a connection. Our ability to meet your needs can be agile and suited to your community’s capacity in terms of dollars, time, and personnel. Our core team is comprised entirely of economic development practitioners, and we understand the necessity of being flexible.

We'd love to hear from you if you’re interested in sharing about your community. We're eager to learn about your opportunities and challenges and explore how we can help you achieve your economic development goals.
